Beer Day

Sometimes people have sick days, pro-d days, snow days etc, but this past Friday a few of us had a beer day. Joanna decided to put together a self guided brewery tour around the city and it was fun times indeed!!!

The day started off at Dix, then off to Yaletown Brew Pub, then to Granville Island, and lastly Dockside. It was a great day to chill out inside and it was full of great conversation and friends and of course tasty beer! My favourite of the day was the 6.8 Belgian Wheat Ale from Dix. Yummy!!! So if you are ever in that area (Smithe and Beatty), check it out! $5.75 for a 20 oz. pint….you can’t go wrong!!

On our way to Dockside Jo gave me my belated bday gift. She is such a dear, true friend because not only does she rock, she totally knows what I am passionate about – photography and The Hills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) See pix below!!

It was a fun time and perhaps a little bit too much beer was consumed on our part. I was hurting the next day, but those symptoms quickly went away once we arrived at the campsite for a weekend full of the outdoors with the bestest nephews ever!!! Post to follow…
