Lots of great things have been happening lately, but there have also been some things that have made me say "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
- Japanese Politicians -- last Sunday there was an election here in Osaka. Leading up to the election, several candidates felt the need to voice "literally" their pleas for support. For at least 2 weeks (and my parents can vouch for this) they would drive around with 4 loud speakers attached to the roof of the car encouraging people to vote for them (at least that is what I think they were saying). They did this throughout the day and many times it was our 8am wake-up call. They also happened to hang out at the train station by my work, so it was especially hard to concentrate. Sooo annoying!
- Snow Patrol -- from some unknown reason, this band recently cancelled their Japanese tour. This has been the third time I have attempted to see them live and have been unsuccessful (1x in Vancouver, 1x in Auburn and 1x in Osaka). That is 3 different countries! They suck!
- Work -- as a teacher it is extremely frustrating to teach the same students several times a week for months and see noooooooooooooooooooooooo improvement. For some people, it may not be a big deal, but as a teacher I take pride in seeing people shine and when I don't see much improvement it is like a kick in the shins.
- Earthquakes -- a few weeks ago Jamie and I experienced our first quake. Well, today we lived through our second one. This time we were both at work. It was the same intensity as the other one. It totally freaked me out and continues to cause me great anxiety. Flippin' tectonic plates!
On the upside, we don't work until 1:20pm tomorrow so that means we get to catch the Cancuks game live! Wooo hooooo! Go NUCKS go!
Oh ya again.....most of you have probably heard of Facebook by now! This site is insane...I have come into contact with loads of people I went to elementary school with in Calgary. I haven't spoke to them let alone heard their name in ages! It is pretty cool.
On the up upside...we leave for Thailand in a few days :) We are looking forward to chilling out on the beach and doing a heck of a lot of nothing! We just booked a few nights at Coral Island Resort and got a great last minute deal for a deluxe beachfront bunglaw! Yay -- that will be our next blog entry, so stay tuned!

I just checked out your resort - NICE! We dove in that area while we were there - snorkling alone you see so many fishies! Be sure to have some banana milkshakes - they are the best in Thailand!
Sorry to hear about those pesky quakes.
