Sunday April 8th was my parents last day in Japan. Since Jamie and I had to work, they decided to go to Kyoto for the day. Later on that night they called us from the Shin-Osaka station to say that they were back and town, so Jamie and I met up with them to go for dinner.
We took them to one of our favourite hang-outs (Da Sponge) located in our old hood the 2nd night they were here, but unfortunately we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was ok though, at least they got to try some of our favourite bevies and what I consider to be the best pizza ever -- I think my mom does now too!
We decided to go back and have some more of their delicious pizza, yet this time around the place was completely packed! Once every couple of months a guy named Jimmy from Hawaii (who now resides in Osaka) plays live Hawaiian music. When he is playing...loads of people come to watch and drink, drink, drink! Let's just say that everyone was beyond having a good time when we arrived!
Since it was so busy, Akemi and Kenken (the owners) were only making appetizers.....that meant no pizza. However, when they found out it was my parent's last night in Japan, they graciously made one just for that reason! They are such great people!
