For my French friends

Last weekend Jamie and I went to Mackin Park to attend the annual Festival du Bois. I have no idea what the translation is, but the main reason for going was the poutine because it is practically Jame's favourite food! It wasn't bad...next to the real stuff in Quebec, Costco is a close second!

It was a gorgeous, yet brisk afternoon and as we walked around we realized that a lot of maple related things were for sale. Go figure....maple stuff at a French festival. Yay for me as I LOVE anything maple!!

MMMMMMMM.....sugar pie. Oh ya...and a slice of orange to make you feel healthy :-)

As we walked around some more I noticed that they were offering maple on a stick. I have always wanted to go back to Quebec just to try this, but I didn't have to after all. I will eventually though since my sista from anotha mista is there :-) It was to DIE FOR!!!!

I could have eaten all of them, but I had just one. Really!!

After our stroll around the park we went into the Grande Chapiteau where a kick ass french band was playing. It was awesome! Everyone was dancing everywhere and the performers were rockin' the violin and harmonicas! It was super fun!
Cheryl and Pascal...do you know these guys?! Ha ha ha!!! ;-)
