Some of you may have met the beautiful gal on the right before, but for those who don't know her, she has been my best friend for 27 years. We met in kindergarden and I still remember to this day my first day of grade. 1. I was terrified to go into the classroom until my mom said "Hey Sara. Leslie is in your class." There she was inside of the classroom and in I went.

We shopped together at Raglans, bought the same clothes, LOVED New Kids, and vowed to travel to China together. In 1992 I moved from Calgary to Langley and one year later her family picked up and moved to Winnipeg. Despite the long distance we still to this day are dear friends. She was my maid of honor at my wedding and I was hers on her special day. Whenever we chat...it's for hours. Whenever we manage to visit each other...it's like we have never lived on separate sides of the country. In my eyes, that is what happens when you have a true, dear friend. You grow older, things in your lives change, but your friendship remains the same.

As you know this past month I have been away in Europe with my mom :-) Entry and photoz to follow once I get settled. On Monday my mom and I were in Amsterdam. We had a late night and then all of a sudden at 4am Tuesday morning I was woken up by the sound of my phone. I was totally out of it and had no idea what was going on.

I answered the phone and think I said hello 10x. Finally I clued in that the voice on the other end was Les. She had called to let me know that she went into labour 1 week early and called to let me know that I was once again an Auntie :-) This entry is dedicated to Les & TJ and their new bundle of joy Ewan Kaye Patrick F. I am so unbelievably happy for them! They plan to head out this way in June for a family wedding, so I cannot WAIT to snap some family photoz for them!

Wow....as I write this I have just clued in that the 4 girls I have known the longest in my life all have babies and one is expecting another in June. Three of those girls live in different Canadian cities and I am blessed to have all four of them in my live. Like I said, even though we lead different lives, we are still in touch and I hope that we will always and forever will be....no matter what!!!!!!!!

Most people know that Jame and I have no plans to have children. It is not that we don't like kids because if you know me you should know that I LOVE kids. It is just a decision we've made. Maybe that will change in the future as we would maybe one day like to adopt. If it works, it does...if not, we are ok with that. Some people get it, but a lot of people don't. The more kids that enter our circle of friends, the greater life becomes!!. I hope that if we remain kidless with only dogs that our friendships will remain strong until the end of day.

Look at me...this entry is sooooo not supposed to be about me at all!!! I guess I shouldn't blog when suffering from lack of of sleep and severe jet lag!! Hahahaha!!

On that note.....stay tuned for some holiday updates. I have to get my thoughts together and try to remember the order of events :-)

Enjoy your day!

Sare, I feel blessed that you are one of the few real friends in my life... and I hope we keep our special friendship always... even if Jay and I never get a dog.

Congrats again Les!

Love you both.
