Walking in a maple wonderland

Well, I am home now and already miss the Lefebvre's like crazy!! The next couple of blog entries are ones from my visit with them. I am a bit behind schedule :-)

On one of our outings, Cheryl, Emma, Jakey Jake and myself went for a stroll in an area where maple syrup is made. I don't know if you know this about me, but I LOVE anything maple. Love love love it! Obviously it is not maple season yet, but Cheryl took me to the one spot close to their place to see what sugar shacks in the middle of the forest look like.

The rain held off and it was a cool, brisk day. We walked around the forest for a couple of hours and here are the shots I captured. Some are of the random signs found throughout the woods, some are of the maple trees themselves and the numerous tubes running to and from the shacks == it's quite the contraption, and the others are just cuz! Get comfy!! I was slightly camera happy this day!!

It was so neat to see and I can definitely say I have to go back when it IS maple season! Very cool!!
