As most of you know my BFF Cheryl moved out east a few weeks ago. All I can say is thank god for long distance plans and technology!!! Things seem to be going really well for them and as of a couple of days ago they just found out that they will be expecting a baby girl in a few months! CONGRATS guys!!! I cannot wait to meet lil' Emma!
Recently another friend of mine decided to move back to her hometown of Halifax. She was offered an amazing job opportunity and of course she didn't pass it up. Nicolle and I met when I first started at CSLI and we soon became friends that shared a love for music and concerts. If you read my blog every now and then I am sure you have come across her name/photo. It was a total bummer when she told me she was moving, but I know this is a great career move for her! She is going to rock it. CONGRATS Nic!!!
Friday night we had a "see you soon" party for Nicolle at our boss' condo in Coal Harbour. I am so fortunate that the people I work with and see everyday are totally wicked and I can genuinely call them my friends. We gel so well together and not a day goes by where we don't crack each other up! That's why it makes it that much harder when one of us leaves. All good though...we couldn't be more supportive of each other and wish each other nothing but the best in life. It was also a great party because my sista from anotha mista Anna came back from Cairo for a visit. It was awesome to catch up with her. Here are some photoz courtesy of Mikey.
My contacts were ticking me off!!
Work is Latisha!! Latoya loves it!
Nicolle and Anna--even though we now live on opposite sides of the country/world, I love you ladies and we'll always be in touch! xoxoxo
It was a great night with everyone and I didn't get to bed until 2:30am. I had to be up at 7am because I had a photoshoot in Abbotsford that morning. I had to make a pit stop in Langley to get some props that Cheryl and I accidentally left at a house at our last shoot together. I also wanted to leave enough time because this weekend was the Abbotsford air show and I had no idea what traffic would be like.
Anna's parents just moved to Abby, so instead of having her take the Greyhound back, I drove her there. It was a great time for us to catch up! Thank god I had her with me because I was struggling to keep my eyes open. Always Gt's with my sista from anotha mista!
After I dropped her off I made my way to Karen's house. This was my first shoot without my trusty partner Cheryl, so I was a bit nervous. I was bummed out that the weather was so crummy because I could've gotten some nice shots outside as they live on a huge chunk of land with an old-fashioned barn. Instead it was POURING rain.
I met Karen, her hubby, their 2 year old Isaiah and new 4 week old bebe girl Danica. Isaiah is super cute, but avoided posing for the camera and/or being touched by either mom or dad. They were sooo apologetic, but I told them not to worry at all. Here are some shots from that shoot:
Needless to say as soon as I got home I had a three hour nap. I LOVE SLEEP! Ha ha ha!!!
Thanks for stopping by :-)
