Spring, cherry blossoms, and babies
First off, I want to say "NO, I AM NOT HAVING A BABY." There are a few of you out there who like to start rumours, so I am clearing the air beforehand! Ha ha ha ha ha!! :)
So, it is finally starting to feel like spring and I am loving all the tulips and cherry blossoms. Seeing streets lined with my favourite trees and flowers give me the itch to go photograph them, but I haven't. I am not too sure why?!?!
Friendz & Photoz has been extremely busy lately, but oddly enough not photographing babies. So that is not what this entry is about.
It seems as though about 6-8 months ago, A LOT of people I know had a little fun. Sooooo many people I know have either just had a baby or are expecting. I love it, love it, love it! People say "Wow Sara, when is it your turn?" As much as I adore holding, playing with, taking photoz of bebes, I am just not there and not too sure if I ever will be. People might think that is weird or selfish or whatever, but for as long as I can remember I have never wanted to physically bear children. Does that mean that that maternal instinct or whatever wasn't included in my DNA...I don't know. I understand that my feelings on this issue may upset/bum out certain people...and for that I am genuinely sorry. As of now, nothing is in the cards. I cannot promise that will change in the future...who knows...crazier things have happened.
I am going to Calgary May long weekend to visit my long-time childhood friend Michelle. About 2.5 months ago her and Jay welcomed Kai Jonas into the world. I am soooo excited to meet him and cuddle with him. He is BEYOND adorable and looks exactly like his gorgeous mama!
A couple of weekends ago I went to a baby shower. It had been a while since I have been to one, but nowadays it seems like I am constantly buying bebe gifts. Don't get me wrong, I love it! Rich and Ali welcomed Grace a couple of months ago and she is absolutely gorgeous! The cutest couple ever definitely has the cutest bebe ever! I cannot wait to set up a time to photograph Gracie with mom and dad.
My BFF Erin has a daughter, Abby Mac, whose 3rd birthday was just this past weekend. Abby has totally grown into her own little personality lately and she is soooooo much fun. I love playing with her and most of all LOVE conversing with her. For 3 years old, she is the smartest, most well spoken kid I have ever met! In just under 2 months Abby Mac will have a new little brother or sister. She thinks she is having a brother, but if she has a sister she too will be named Abby! Ha ha ha! Too cute!
Perhaps the most exciting bebe news is of my BFF Cheryl. About 2.5 months ago Cheryl and I were going to the states. She broke the news to me that her and Pascal were moving out east sooner then later (July instead of Septmeber). Cheryl and Pascal have always talked about moving back east, but now it is a done deal. They just officially became Quebecois home-owners a few days ago! They decided to move back earlier because she is 3 months pregnant! --that was a HARD secret to keep!! --They have been talking about having kids and the miracle of life happened pretty much as soon as they started trying :-). I am sooooo happy for the two of them, but I am not going to lie, Cheryl moving is going to be the hardest thing for me since I left my best friends in Calgary in 1992. She was pretty much my very first friend when I moved here, and we have been practically inseparable ever since. Now that she will be welcoming a little one into the world, I want nothing more to watch him/her grow up! It is going to be weird. Thank god for MSN and web-cams!! I am also thankful that they are not moving as far away like France. So Jame and I will definitely be making an effort to visit as much as we can. We have always wanted to visit the Maritimes and check out NYC, so they are in a perfect location! Yay, road trips!!
Speaking of kiddos, Jame and I got to spend this past weekend with our awesome nephews while mom and dad went on a lil' romantic getaway. They have the most perfect, well-behaved kids ever. They are amazing and I am so in love with them!!!! As much fun as we had, it was definitely exhausting. I lent Eric my favourite lens, so I barely took any photoz because I hate using our point and shoot camera!
Wow...I cannot remember when the last time I wrote an entry like this was! It's pretty random and unorganized, but it felt good to type. I hope everyone enjoys their week and the warm weather continues for everyone to enjoy the cherry blossoms, tulips and bebes! :-)

AWWWW chica, great post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not gonna lie, I got a little teary-eyed reading this. I wish I could have you and Quebec at the same time, but sometimes life takes us in different directions, but you know me, i am great will directions and will always find my way to you, whereever we are in life.
And I will love you always, regardless if you decide to have a baby of your own ;-) LOLOLOL
Hey Sara - love the post....having kids is a totally personal decision between you and your husband.....as I always say - once a parent always a parent and it's not for everyone. My 1st grandchild had 4 legs and if my next one has 4 legs - I'll be happy for you whatever your decision... don't let outside pressures affect your decision - you have to live with it for the rest of your lives...not us!! :}ps - always available to doggie sit
AWE! Just updated myself on the last couple posts... Love them both, this one especially. Hey... Remember what you said about two good-lookin' people having a baby... HAHA - good times.
Me and Kai miss you already. Jay will too, when he wakes up from his nap!
