Home Sweet Japanese Home

Recently Jame had been talking about getting a camcorder and I had been talking about getting a new camera. We compromised and got a new camera with a really good video function. We figured that as nice as a handheld camcorder would be, we probably wouldn't' use it as much once we're back home -- so another camera seemed more practical. You might be thinking to yourself...."Another camera...doesn't that make three. Who needs 3 cameras???". Well, yes indeed it does. Our smaller Nikon has done us great, but we are starting to realize how minimal the battery life is. It also has a tendency to turn off at it's own will. That camera does have a video function, but no sound. Our other camera (a.k.a. - the Nikon DSLR -our baby) is only brought out for some heavy duty picture taking...obviously not something to take to parties, the bar etc.

Sooooooooo.....we splurged and bought a tiny Casio Exilim EX-Z1000 (pronounced Cash --ee--oh). It is a great camera and we have yet to experiment with all of the nifty little functions. It is a 10.1 MP and takes some pretty good videos. We got it on sale and because Jamie had so many points accrued on his point card, we got an extra battery, memory card, camera case, and neck strap for free!!!!!!!!!

When we got home we charged it all up and I proceeded to take some video footage of our place. I have taken some pictures of our pad, and for a few of you given you a tour using the web-cam, but hopefully this video will give you all a better idea of our quaint little Osakan home :)

The video did take a while to upload as it is almost 4.5 minutes long!!! As you can see in the video....Jame is mocking the length of my documentary. Ha ha ha! It is long yes....so if you have the time...check it out! If some of you get bored and fall asleep half way through -- no worries -- I will not be offended!! :) So for those of you interested, check MTV Cribs Japan style!!

This video was uploaded via Google, so the quality is a bit distorted :(
