Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are a couple of my favourite days of the year. It is during this time when my crazy busy family gets together to chat, eat/drink, play games...and well....just be together :)
Christmas Eve was a bit different for obvious reasons and to be honest it was pretty low key. I didn't go to work that day because of a nasty cough and the fact that my voice was cutting in and out. I really wanted a day to rest and try to get better because I knew that in only a few days we would be expecting Jame's folks and I didn't want to be a "Debbie Downer" because of my dang cold!
The whole day I rested and when Jame got home we had dinner and watched numerous episodes of 24 (we are addicted and have been downloading every season...we are almost up to speed). After that we chilled out with some hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps, lit the tree and cranked up the Christmas tunes from 104.9.
Just after midnight we wished each other a Merry Christmas and took the photos you see below. It felt weird that Christmas had already arrived and we had to get up 8 hours later and go to work. Christmas is not celebrated in Japan because the majority of the population are Buddhists, so that is why we had to work.
Check out the next entry and find out how we spent Christmas Day :)
