Concerts concerts everywhere!!
Ok, so currently I am totally spazzing out because January / February 2007 seem to be "the" months for upcoming concerts in Osaka!
We already got our tickets for Snow Patrol a couple of months ago, but their show isn't until Feb. 5th! I am pretty stoked, but as I have learned from prior experience(s) I do not want to get too excited!
We were watching MTV the other night and some concert listings came up. The Scissor Sisters are coming!!!! I have heard from a couple different people that they are amazing live -- very entertaining I am sure. Then last night, Jame came home from training and heard that the Killers are coming. OMG!!!!!!These are 2 bands that I would kill to see in a small venue. As most of you know I am a concert--aholic, so even though tickets for each show are about 6500 yen, I don't care....ha ha ha!

Awesome bands + quaint location = a guaranteed good time!
Unfortunately there is a down-side which is temporarily curbing my excitment. Concerts here start at 7pm. A friend told me that literally they start at that time. She went to a show 1 hour late expecting it not to be a problem, but she said she felt like an idiot when she walked in because the set was 1/2 over. Why 7 o'clock?? We've heard that it is because the trains stop running at around 11:30 - midnight, so it will allow for people to catch their ride home.
The other thing is the majority of concerts are on Monday nights. We both work 1:20 - 9pm on Mondays. Boooooooo!! We are going to try to find some people to swap our shifts with. That means find someone who has Mondays off -- get them to work our shift and in return we will work their shift on either Thursday or Friday (or days off).
Fingers crossed we'll be able to do that. It may be hard because it would end up being almost 3 swaps in a row. The Killers play on January 15th, the Scissor Sisters January 29th, and Snow Patrol February 5th.
To my concert buddies Nicolle & Jo ..... I miss going through the "pre-show" excitment phase with ya. Jame's doing his best, but it just ain't the same! :)

Hmmm how to put this.........
Snow Patrol is coming in April now to Japan.
I think you should write the band and they should bring you on stage when they finally get there.
OMG -- thanks for the heads up eric!! this band i tell ya...THIS FRICKIN' BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys - jealous of the Scissor Sisters - hope you guys get to see them - love them!!!
Sara sorry I keep missing you on MSN
Yeah, so Nic and I made a pact that we wouldn't go to any concerts until you returned because it just wouldn't be right. Guess the feeling was NOT mutual. That's ok, that's fine. I'm sure we'll get over it... in time.
