For those of you who don't live nearby, you have heard that I got a tattoo, but have yet to see it.
I have wanted a tattoo forever, knew where I wanted it, and knew that I wanted kanji characters, I just had no idea what I wanted it to say. One night at Jame's ball game I was admiring a friend's tattoo. When we got home, the saying I wanted hit me like a ton of bricks.....kinda weird actually.
I think it all stemmed from the fact that I am doing something that I have wanted to do since as long as I can remember. People tell us "Wow, it is so cool that you are going away and pursuing something you have wanted to do for a long time." I am so content right now....obviously I am a little bit nervous about starting a new life in a foreign country, but in terms of friends, family, and my wicked husband....I couldn't ask for more! Do what makes you happy--otherwise you'll always wonder "what if?" Depending on what the situation is, it may be hard to actually do what would really make you happy, but always remember--you are your own #1 (I got that saying from a super friend of mine, who also happens to be my rock--thanks JR)!!
Here is a picture of my tattoo--it is Japanese and it means "happiness forever".

I absolutely love it. I was super nervous to go because everyone was saying "Ah man...you want it there? That is going to HURT!" I booked the appointment the same day as my last day of work. I did it that way because I knew thinking about my last day would take up most of my thoughts and therefore I wouldn't have time to stress about the tattoo. So needless to say, it wasn't as bad as I anticipated...thankfully because you all know how much of a wimp I am! tee hee!
Hmmmm....I wonder what I will get next???? :)
