The same day Jame and I were in Umeda we came across this guy busting it out on one of those dance arcade games....you know the ones where you step on the arrows that light up? Steve...you'll know what I mean for sure...we never did make a day outta doin' that before we left!Anyway, there was something going on across the street as a bunch of peope were lined up waiting for some famous person to come out of a nearby hotel. We were hanging around watching both the guy rip it up and waiting to see what the hype was all about over this so-called famous person. We managed to see a couple of famous people, but of course we had no idea who they were or what they were famous for. It was interesting to see how differently the Japanese respond to celebrities compared to how North Americans do. They were very polite...no screaming...no rushing the person...no crying. They just knelt down and quietly watched the celeb shake the hands of a lucky few fans.
We decided to take off and as we were leaving the guy was still dancing. He had been going for over an hour and just happened to stop as we were leaving. You had to see this guy...he was amazing!!! No joke!!! It can't be easy to work it for 60 minutes + including the amount of coordination it takes! It was cool to watch. Whoever comes here first we will definitely have to have some "dance offs"!!!
